He's still a WHU player, he went to Saudi without the club's permission. That deal is not finalised yet, hence nothing on the official site about him leaving the club.

Goose, of course he had good seasons, he had a superb one with Juventus when he was its top scorer but that was his first one in a big club, now the picture is wider than simply numbers of goals or his teams CV.
He is not the man for West Ham for the same reasons I think that Zaza was, like him Matri has made his way through small clubs and lower leagues but has now reached the status of top earner, at least in Italian football, that will warrant him "good wage and good teams" 'til the end of his career in serie A.
He will come on loan knowing that he has nothing to prove to his owners about his ability, now he is a sort of super sub, and I don't see him really motivated.
I hope I'm wrong but it is really down to Biliç now to push him to find the drive to adapt and deliver as the main man.
Anyway he has never be a prolific striker and his best days are gone.

Even if he is any good we probably won't play him. We'll still start with Maiga. Just like Lanzini, not being given a chance and for no real reason. What's the point in signing players who are no worse than the any of the first team players and not giving them a fielding?
